Wednesday, 22 September 2021 (YJC)_ In a message to his Lebanese counterpart, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran called the formation of the Lebanese government an important step to overcome the problems and fulfill the aspirations of the resilient Lebanese nation and said: "Iran will always stand by the Lebanese nation and government."
In a message to the Lebanese Foreign Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, congratulated the formation of the new Lebanese government.
The cabinet of Lebanon's new prime minister has won a vote of confidence in parliament.
The Foreign Minister called the formation of the Lebanese government an important step in overcoming the problems and realizing the aspirations of the resilient Lebanese nation, adding:
The Islamic Republic of Iran believes that peace and stability in Lebanon have been achieved democratically, in the shadow of internal harmony and cohesion, and away from foreign interference.
Amir-Abdollahian pointed out:
The Lebanese people, who, along with the Lebanese resistance and army, have made brilliant achievements in resisting terrorism, occupation and takfiri movements, will be able to solve their country's problems and will therefore move towards prosperity and progress.
