Tuesday, 21 September 2021 (YJC)_ The Iranian Health Ministry announced that 17,564 new Covid-19 cases have been detected in the country in the past 24 hrs.
The Iranian Health Ministry spokesperson announced on Tuesday that 17,564 new COVID-19 infections have been detected across the country in the past 24 hours 2,581 of which has been hospitalized.
“A sum of 17,564 COVID-19 infections and 379 deaths has been identified due to the disease in the past 24 hours” the spox said while adding that “This brings the total number of cases to 5,459,796.”
379 COVID patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours that bring the total death toll 117,905,” the ministry added.
“6,661 people are being treated in ICUs in hospitals across the country, while 4,819,223 have already gained recovery,” the health ministry added.
The ministry also added that 31,223,048 coronavirus diagnosis tests have so far been carried out across the country while warning that “57 cities are rated red, 238 cities are orange, and 136 cities are yellow.”
According to the latest figures, more than 229,957,493 people have so far been infected with the novel coronavirus globally, with the deaths standing 4,716,190 and recoveries amounting to 206,645,166.
