Khaled Mashal, the head of Hamas' political bureau outside Palestine, called the families of six Palestinian prisoners who had escaped from Jalboa prison, stressing that the escape was a strong blow to the Zionist regime.
Mashal said:
The operation of the heroic captives was a strong security and moral blow to all the institutions and technology of the Zionist regime, and it is a living example and a practical proof of the great Palestinian nation's insistence on achieving freedom and restoring its legitimate rights.
He added:
Our heroic captives, with this great epic they created, ignited resistance and jihad in the hearts of the Palestinian people, and the demonstrations and the declaration of solidarity with these captives inside and outside Palestine are proof of this.
According to the Ramallah al-Akhbari website, Mashal reiterated that the captives and the rest of the captive children and their leaders would soon be released through an exchange of brilliant captives worthy of the Palestinian resistance.
He added that the Hamas movement will continue to serve the prisoners, their issues and their families.
