Tuesday, 21 September 2021 (YJC)_ The British government, which has previously been criticized for neglecting to secure a safe exit from Afghanistan; is currently facing charges of disclosing the identities of Afghan translators.
British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace has ordered the launch of an investigation into the identity of more than 250 Afghan translators, many of whom have not yet left Afghanistan and are living in fear of Taliban retaliation.
The e-mail address of these 250 Afghan translators who have worked with the British Army during the military occupation of Afghanistan; Incorrectly attached to a message from the British Ministry of Defense. As a result, in addition to the email address, the names and in some cases photos of the Afghan translators have been leaked.
It should also be noted, however, that the translators' collective details were mistakenly attached to the same email that was supposed to be sent to each of the translators who had worked with the British Army. However, from a security perspective, this could speed up the Taliban's identification.
