Friday, 17 September 2021 (YJC)_ The US Treasury Department on Friday placed several individuals and companies on the sanctions list for supporting Hezbollah and Lebanon.
The US Treasury Department on Friday placed the names of several individuals and companies on the sanctions list for supporting Lebanese Hezbollah.
The US Treasury Department has said it has placed members of a network based in Lebanon and Kuwait that fund Lebanese Hezbollah on the sanctions list.
The US Treasury Department also said it had listed "a network of financial facilitators and fictitious companies supporting Hezbollah and the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps" on the SDN list.
Andrew Gaki, director of the US Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control, claimed:
Hezbollah and the IRGC's Quds Force continue to exploit the international financial system to finance terrorist acts. The United States will not hesitate to take action to disrupt the networks supporting Hezbollah and the IRGC's Quds Force.
