Friday, 17 September 2021 (YJC)_ Hojatoleslam Raeisi and Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov agreed to meet on the sidelines of the SCO summit to resolve the gas issue.
On Friday, the second day of his visit to Tajikistan, President Seyyed Ibrahim Raisi stated during a meeting with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov:
Regular meetings of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation can be an effective stimulus for the expansion of Iran-Turkmenistan relations.
He added:
Energy exchange and increasing the volume of exchanges and transit of goods between the two countries are among the potential areas for strengthening cooperation between Iran and Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the two sides agreed to resolve the gas issue.
