Friday, 17 September 2021 (YJC)_ The presidents of Iran and Uzbekistan met in Dushanbe to discuss the growing expansion of cooperation between the two countries.

The Presidents of Iran and Uzbekistan met to discuss the development of Tehran-Tashkent relationsUzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi met in Dushanbe to discuss the further expansion of practical cooperation between the two countries.

At the beginning of the meeting, the President of Uzbekistan congratulated the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran on his election to the post of Prime Minister and wished him great success in his activities.

In this meeting, special attention was paid to the further expansion of practical cooperation between the two countries.

The two sides acknowledged that since the beginning of this year, trade between the two countries has increased regularly and joint projects in the fields of agriculture, poultry and fisheries, food industry and other areas are being implemented effectively.

The presidents agreed to intensify the work of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission with the aim of supporting economic and trade relations and identifying new "development points".
