Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has thanked Iran for supporting Islamabad's plan for Afghanistan's neighbors.
According to a statement from Pakistan's Prime Minister's Office, Imran Khan met with Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi in Dushanbe on the sidelines of the SCO summit today.
Imran Khan stressed in this meeting that after 40 years, there is an opportunity to end the conflict and war in Afghanistan. He stressed the need to seize this opportunity to stabilize Afghanistan and prevent a humanitarian crisis.
He added that respect for the rights of all sections of Afghan society and the establishment of an inclusive political structure would strengthen efforts to stabilize Afghanistan.
According to the statement, the Pakistani Prime Minister also praised Iran's support for Pakistan's plan to engage with Afghanistan's neighbors to achieve a coordinated policy.
