"Ali Hamiyeh," the Lebanese Minister of Public Affairs and Transportation, in response to the arrival of Iranian fuel to Lebanon, stressed that the decision to import fuel from Iran is an independent and sovereign decision based on the concern of the citizens and all Lebanese.
According to the publication, Hamieh said in a televised statement:
The US siege against Lebanon is broken and behind us.
Hussein al-Haj Hassan, head of the Baalbek Hermel faction in the Lebanese parliament, also stressed that the arrival of a convoy of Iranian fuel tankers via Lebanon to Syria broke the US ground siege.
According to Lebanon 24, he continued:
We thank the Islamic Republic of Iran, led by Imam Khamenei and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, for their support of Lebanon and its people.
Alhaj Hassan emphasized:
