Wednesday, 15 September 2021 (YJC)_ Tajikistan's Foreign Ministry summoned the US ambassador to Dushanbe to protest President Joe Biden's remarks.
The Tajik Foreign Ministry today summoned the US ambassador to Tajikistan and handed him a note of protest.
A statement from Tajikistan's Foreign Ministry stated that "the reason for summoning US Ambassador John Mark Pomersheim and handing him a note of protest was the remarks made by US President Joe Biden during a visit to the Pennsylvania Fire Department."
The memo states that the US President's remarks are not in line with the spirit of friendly relations and partnership between the two countries.
Tajikistan is said to be in favor of developing beneficial relations with the United States based on mutual support and respect.
It is noteworthy that on September 11, Biden visited the Pennsylvania Fire Department, referring to the fact that a number of Afghan nationals were hung on the wheels of an airplane to leave the country:
If an airplane came to Tajikistan and announced that anyone who was an ally of ours would board, people would cling to the wheels of the plane.
