US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken admitted on Tuesday that he did not know whether an ISIS member or a relief worker had been killed in a US drone strike in Kabul a few days ago.
Rand Paul asked Blinken at a congressional hearing about developments in Afghanistan that the person Biden's government was targeting with a drone was a relief force or an ISIS operative, to which the secretary of state replied:
The government will definitely review this attack and I am sure a full assessment will be obtained.
Paul then asked Blinken, "Do you not know if you killed a relief worker or an ISIS element?" The US Secretary of State also replied: I do not know because we are reviewing this issue.
