Tuesday, 14 September 2021 (YJC)_ Criticizing Iran's presence and influence in Iraq, the US ambassador to Baghdad said that any Iranian influence is against the United States.
In an interview with Al-Hurra, US Ambassador to Baghdad Matthew Toller criticized the attacks on US bases in Erbil and the Kurdish regions, saying that they were a threat to the Iraqi people and to the stability of the country.
He said: Iraq's neighbors are calling for the activities of armed militias under the control of the Iraqi government.
"Tehran is trying to fill the gaps, and this is very harmful for Iraq," Toller said, criticizing Iran's influence in Iraq. Any Iranian influence is biased and against the United States.
Toller emphasized: US President Joe Biden has made it clear that security in Iraq means security in the Middle East.
