Friday, 10 September 2021 (YJC)_The Iranian Parliament will hold a session with the new head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran to discuss legislation to lift sanctions with AEOI.

Iranian Parl. to Discuss Legislation to Lift Sanctions with AEOIThe lawmakers at the Iranian Parliament announced that they are going to hold a session with the new head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Mohammad Eslami and discuss legislation to lift sanctions with AEOI.

The way to implement previously approved legislation to lift sanctions and protect the interests of the Iranian nation are issues that are going to be discussed in this session next week.

The Parliament legislation entitled "Strategic Action Plan to Counter Sanctions and Protect Rights of the People" is the implementation under which the issues in this meeting will be discussed between Eslami and the lawmakers.

According to this legislation, Iran has suspended the voluntary implementation of the Additional Protocol and the excessive access of the IAEA inspectors to the Iranian nuclear sites beyond the safeguard’s agreement.

Previously, in a massage on his twitter account, Iran’s ambassador to the Vienna-based international organizations Kazem Gharibabadi warned of unconstructive action by the IAEA and said such action would disrupt the negotiation process.

Last week, Bloomberg released a report and announced IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi is seeking a meeting with Iran’s new nuclear chief, Mohammad Eslami.

“He wants to recognize to what extent Tehran is willing to restore expanded access for the agency’s monitors, terminated to protest US illegal sanctions, and cooperate with international investigators,” According to the Bloomberg two officials whose names were not mentioned said.
