Wednesday, 8 September 2021 (YJC)_ Spokesman for the Presiding Board of Iran’s Parliament the Qods Force chief warns US against any plot to instigate Shiites against Sunni Muslims.
Spokesman for the Presiding Board of Iran’s Parliament Seyed Nezamuddin Moussavi announced that Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Qods Force Brigadier General Esmayeel Qa'ani warns US against any plot to instigate Shiites against Sunni Muslims.
This remark was made by General Qa’ani during a closed-door briefing session the Iranian Parliament held on the situation in Afghanistan.
“Precise and documented information with sharp analysis on the developments unfolding in Afghanistan was provided by Qods Force Brigadier General Esmayeel Qa'ani,” Moussavi said.
He went on to elaborate more on the details of the meeting and said “Iran has a clear stance, it is based on what the Supreme Leader of the country, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has repeatedly emphasized, that is, we cannot remain indifferent to what is happening in its Eastern neighbor.”
Elsewhere in his remarks he said “General Qa’ani’s remarks made it clear that Iran is not surprised by the dramatic developments in Afghanistan and is in contact with the Taliban,”
“Iran’s main interest in Afghanistan is to ensure security and rights of Afghans themselves,” he said while referring to the IRGC Qods Force commander’s remarks and added “We are going to ensure that and at the same time not allowing the security at its borders with the country to be disrupted.”
