The Anbar desert in western Iraq came under full military controlThe Iraqi Anbar Provincial Operations Command announced on Tuesday (September 7th) that the army will take full control of the Al-Anbar Desert as terrorist operations in the province decrease.

In an interview with the official Iraqi news agency, General Nasser Al-Ghanam, Commander of Operation Al-Anbar, explained:
The Anbar Desert is spread throughout the province and extends to the borders of Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Syria. The desert was a scene for operations and plans by terrorist groups, and there were even training camps from which plans were made to target safe cities, both in Anbar province and in neighboring provinces.

Al-Ghannam emphasized:
This area has become a scene of activity and presence of Iraqi military units, which, according to available information, carry out their mission and cover areas close to the borders of Syria, Jordan and Saudi Arabia. We have achieved great things and we are witnessing a significant reduction in terrorist operations, and it can be said that there are no more remnants of ISIS in the region. Terrorists are now wandering under the guise of shepherds to escape the attacks of the Iraqi army from one place to another.
