Wednesday, 8 September 2021 (YJC)_ A spokesman for the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said in Geneva today that basic aid to Afghanistan was running out.
According to Reuters, Jens Lark, spokesman for the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), warned at a news conference in Geneva on Tuesday:
Basic services in Afghanistan are gone and food and other aid are running out.
A spokesman for the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said that 8 million people in Afghanistan alone have received humanitarian assistance this year.
Jens Lark echoed UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres' warning that Afghanistan was on the brink of a humanitarian catastrophe.
