Possibility of the introduction of new sanctions against Russia if the situation in the east of Ukraine aggravates, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkeviius said on Monday.
"No breakthrough has been observed [in the fulfilment of the Minsk agreements on Ukraine]. The situation is not improving as well. Therefore, there are no grounds for changing the policy or lifting any sanctions [on Russia]. If the situation worsens further, we will really have to discuss additional pressure measures. New sanctions are also not excluded,"
Linkeviius said on arrival at a meeting of foreign ministers of 28 EU member states.
