The Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Mustafa al-Kadhimi, spoke today at the unveiling of a memorial to the martyrs of the Counter-Terrorism Organization.
According to Mawazin News, Al-Kazemi said during the unveiling of this memorial:
We inaugurate this pure Iraqi work of art in memory of the heroic martyrs of the Counter-Terrorism Organization and in appreciation of their epics. We Iraqis are proud of each of our heroic martyrs, who would not have stood here if it were not for their courage.
The Iraqi Prime Minister stated:
Our martyrs are the pride of Iraq, and from here and in front of their names written on this memorial, we promise that their sacrifices will never be lost and we are responsible for their families and children.
Al-Kadhimi continued:
A few hours ago, your comrades in the Counter-Terrorism Organization killed members of a terrorist group in Kirkuk who were planning to attack its units. We will not close our eyes and we will not sleep until the last terrorism in Iraq is eliminated.
