John Bolton stated that US President Joe Biden's actions towards Afghanistan have had a significant negative impact on his popularity at home and his credibility abroad.
In an interview with Sky News, the White House National Security Adviser during Donald Trump's presidency spoke about the effects of the situation in Afghanistan on the domestic and foreign positions of the United States and Joe Biden.
John Bolton, who served as US ambassador to the United Nations under George W. Bush, has been a staunch supporter of the US-led wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
In an interview with Sky News, he reiterated his opposition to Joe Biden's decision to withdraw US troops from Afghanistan, calling it a "catastrophically bad decision."
John Bolton added:
From an international perspective, (Afghanistan issue) has questioned his competence, professionalism and credibility. I think the decision to leave Afghanistan was catastrophically bad, and I think Biden will suffer.
