Damascus categorically denies any connection or negotiation with TurkeyThe Syrian Foreign Ministry reacted to Turkish media reports this afternoon (Tuesday) regarding Damascus' connection with Ankara.

According to the official Syrian News Agency (SANA), an official of the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied the existence of any contacts and negotiations with Turkey, especially in the field of counter-terrorism.

The official said in this regard:
It is now clear to the world that the ruling regime in Ankara is the main sponsor of terrorism and has turned Turkey into a source of extremism and terrorism; Terrorism that threatens the peace and stability of the region and the world. [Ankara] openly violates legitimate international resolutions on the fight against terrorism.
