Monday, 6 September 2021 (YJC)_ Russia's foreign minister said that Moscow is ready to support Afghanistan's future government if it is made up of a wide range of political groups.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said that Moscow is ready to support the future government of Afghanistan if it represents a wide range of political groups.
According to Sputnik, Lavrov added that he would attend if Moscow was invited to the inauguration of Kabul's new government.
He said:
We support the formation of a new Afghan government that represents the Afghan community, including the Taliban and non-Pashtun groups such as the Tajiks, Uzbeks and Hazaras. Only an inclusive government can lead to political stability and a peaceful transition. If this learning is guaranteed, we will be happy to participate in the formation of their government along with other influential countries in Afghanistan.
Russia's foreign minister said last Thursday that internal disputes in Afghanistan should be resolved through negotiation and peace.
