Monday, 6 September 2021 (YJC)_ The Deputy Coordinator of the Air Defense Force said: With completely indigenous systems, we monitor the country's air borders, and all normal and unconventional flights are under the control of the army air defense force.
In an interview with IRNA, Brigadier General Abolfazl Sepehri Rad said about the establishment and necessity of forming the country's air defense:
The air defense was separated from the Air Force of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran on September 31, 2008 with the approval of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. Initially, this force started its work in the form of a franchise called Khatam Al-Anbia Air Defense Base of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, taking control of the operations of all air defense units of the Armed Forces, and was able to achieve significant progress in a few years.
He emphasized:
We will definitely confront any aggressor and violator of the law, according to the rules and the principle of legitimate defense, as we have shown many times, to adhere to this oath and I advise the enemies to act wisely in the face of the Islamic Republic of Iran and not to cross our red line.
