Monday, 6 September 2021 (YJC)_ The new German ambassador to Beijing has died for unknown reasons just two weeks after taking office.
The German Foreign Ministry announced today (Monday) the death of its new ambassador to China.
According to Reuters, the ministry said in a statement that "Jan Hecker", the ambassador of the German federal government in Beijing, who started his work on August 24 this year, has died.
According to the report, the cause of death of the 54-year-old hacker, who was about two weeks old when he began his term as German ambassador to China, has not yet been determined.
A spokesman for the German embassy in Beijing also declined to answer Reuters questions about the hacker's death.
