Tehran, YJC. Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in a meeting on Sunday with a top Palestinian official stressed Iran's will to stay with Palestine in resistance and reconstruction of Gaza.
Speaking to Ramadan Abdullah Shalah, secretary general of
the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, the Iranian top diplomat congratulated
the recent victory of the Islamic resistance in the course of the harsh 51-Day
Gaza War.
"Palestinians’ victory in that war and the previous
victories of the Palestinian nation have proved the falsehood of the tales about
the invulnerability of the Zionist regime and its armed forces,” stressed Zarif.
Abdullah, in turn, appreciated Iran’s support for the
Palestinian nation and their resistance movement.
"The resistance of the Palestinian nation in the 51-Day War
in confronting the Israeli army, with one of the largest arsenals in the world,
was both great and exemplary in the course of the Palestinian nation’s
resistance,” said Abdullah.
