In an interview with Fox News, a Republican senator claimed that six American planes with their passengers had been stopped at Mazar-e-Sharif airport in northern Afghanistan and that the Taliban had not allowed them to leave the country so far.
According to the report, Senator "Michael McCool" said that a number of Afghan citizens, including translators, along with American citizens are among the passengers of these planes.
The US senator claimed: In fact, we have six planes at Mazar-e-Sharif airport, with American nationals, along with Afghan translators and the Taliban being held hostage, and it seems that they have demands, and there is a concern that their demands will increase day by day.
However, McCool did not elaborate on his claims.
