Sunday, 5 September 2021 (YJC)_ Al-Hashd al-Shabi commander said ISIL terrorists have acquired new and advanced weapons and are more dangerous than last year.
At the same time as ISIL terrorist attacks on military positions in several Iraqi provinces increased, a commander of al-Hashd al-Shabi in Kirkuk province said without giving his name:
Terrorists are equipped with new and advanced weapons.
He told the Shafaq News website that the terrorists had become more dangerous than in previous years and had acquired new and powerful sniper rifles and semi-heavy weapons in the south-west of Kirkuk, and that the security situation in the villages south-west of Kirkuk was tense.
The Iraqi commander went on to warn of an ISIL terrorist attack similar to last night in the al-Rashad district of Kirkuk province, which left 13 people dead by federal police forces.
ISIL movements around the al-Rashad and al-Riyadh areas in the al-Hawija area have increased, and military tactics need to be changed, and with the current trend, security forces are at the forefront of ISIL attacks.
