Friday, 3 September 2021 (YJC)_ The Iranian Health Ministry announced that 27,621 new Covid-19 cases have been detected in the country in the past 24 hrs.
The Iranian Health Ministry spokesperson announced on Friday that 27,621 new COVID-19 infections have been detected across the country in the past 24 hours.
“27,621 COVID-19 infections and 561 deaths due to the disease in the past 24 hours” the spox said while adding that “This brings the total number of cases to 5,083,133.”
“561 COVID patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours that bring the total death toll 109,549,” the ministry added.
“7,795 people are being treated in ICUs in hospitals across the country, while 4, 302,011 have already gained recovery,” the health ministry added.
According to the latest figures, more than 220,141,079 people have so far been infected with the novel coronavirus globally, with the deaths standing at 4,560,606 and recoveries amounting to 196,817,189.
