Thursday, 2 September 2021 (YJC)_ The Vice President for the Middle East of the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and the Iranian Minister of Petroleum stressed the need to develop joint cooperation.
According to the Ministry of Petroleum, "Li Bin Chang", Deputy Director of the Middle East Department of "Cyanpusi" went to meet with "Javad Oji", our Minister of Oil, during which the development of joint cooperation between Iran and China was discussed and exchanged. The two sides stressed the need to expand bilateral relations.
It is worth mentioning that China Cypriot Company has already participated in the development of Azadegan field and the North Azadegan oil field; The field where the first phase of its development plan was officially put into operation in November 2016.
Azadegan field is the largest joint oil field in the country, with an area of 1,500 square kilometers, located near the Iraqi border (Majnoon field). Oil at the site is estimated at 32 billion barrels of oil, and its development has so far been pursued in the form of two sections, the Southern Azadegan and the Northern Azadegan.
