Wednesday, 1 September 2021 (YJC)_ The EHigh Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy stressed the need to establish a rapid reaction force on the continent and to cooperate with Iran and other neighboring countries in Afghanistan.
EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell told the Italian newspaper Economia on Monday: It is time to create a European emergency response force, because the Americans will no longer be involved in the war for the benefit of others.
Joseph Borrell also spoke about EU assistance to Uzbek refugees in Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Pakistan and Iran: What is true is that we need to increase our cooperation with neighboring countries on Afghanistan issues. We must help them in the face of the first wave of refugees. This does not mean that fleeing Afghans will reach Rome first, but may reach Tashkent. We must help the front line countries.
