Wednesday, 1 September 2021 (YJC)_ The governor of Halabja asked for the assistance of the Islamic Republic of Iran in reopening the border of "Sazan" and making the borders of "Shushmi" and "Sheikh Saleh" official.

Halabja governor's border request from IranMehdi Shoushtari, Consul General of Iran in Sulaimaniyah, Iraq, met with Ms. Noksheh Naseh Ahmad, Governor of Halabja, after holding a joint business meeting between Iranian companies participating in the Sulaimaniyah International Fair with businessmen and economic activists.

In this meeting, referring to the first presence of knowledge-based companies of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Sulaimaniyah and Halabja, Shoushtari enumerated some of the capacities of Iranian companies and announced the readiness of capable Iranian companies to participate in development projects in Halabja province.

The governor of Halabja, while thanking the efforts of the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Sulaimaniyah to develop relations between the two countries, said: In talks with Iranian companies in a joint business meeting, we invited them to participate in tenders and projects in Halabja province.

During the meeting, the governor of Halabja also called for the continuation of the Islamic Republic of Iran's assistance in reopening the "Sazan" border and making the "Shushmi" and "Sheikh Saleh" borders official.
