Tuesday, 31 August 2021 (YJC)_ The Deputy Chief of Operations of the Army Air Defense announced the successful test of the Mersad 16 defense system in the central desert of Iran.
On the eve of the 10th Shahrivar, the anniversary of the army air defense, the new generation of the all-native Mersad 16 missile system in the central desert of Iran was successfully evaluated against the set targets.
Congratulating the Air Defense Week, the 2nd Brigadier General Amir Khoshghalb, Deputy Chief of Operations of the Army Air Defense Force, said: The Mersad 16 missile system is completely indigenous and benefits from new technologies to combat electronic warfare and simultaneous conflict with several hostile targets.
He added: For the first time, the Mersad 16 missile system was controlled by the integrated defense network, and from the Valiasr Command and Control Center, targets were discovered, identified, clashed and destroyed.
