Thursday, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian met for the first time as Foreign Minister with Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, who is leading a delegation to Tehran.

During the meeting, the Foreign Ministers of Iran and Pakistan, while emphasizing the expansion of bilateral relations in the political and economic fields, regarding the positive measures taken in recent months regarding the development of economic relations between the two countries, especially the establishment of two new borders and holding a joint economic commission. The two countries' Joint Trade Committee discussed in the near future.

In this meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country welcomed the proposal of the Pakistani side to hold a meeting of the foreign ministers of 6 neighboring countries and announced our country's readiness to hold this meeting in the coming days in Tehran.

It is worth mentioning that the Pakistani Foreign Minister had traveled to Ashgabat before Tehran and met with Turkmen officials.
