Thursday, 26 August 2021 (YJC)_ The former Taliban ambassador to Pakistan told the BBC that the group had no plans to repeat past austerity and had already fulfilled its commitments.

Taliban say people Mullah Abdul Salam Zaeef, who recently took part in the Afghan peace talks, stressed that people's lives are now normal. Women's education has begun and women can go to work.

A day earlier, a Taliban spokesman had asked working women to stay home and not go to work while security measures were being taken.

Zaeef said some Afghans used the chaos at Kabul airport as an excuse to leave the country without the necessary documents.

He also criticized news coverage of the Taliban, which he said presented a bad image of them.
"This is a big conspiracy against the Taliban, it gives people the impression that the Taliban are terrible and anti-people and are opposed to education," Zaeef said.

"When I call people in Kabul, they are satisfied there," he added. The Taliban do not take revenge on the people, even those who go to the airport, the Taliban do not prevent them from going to the airport legally.
