Amir-Abdollahian, the new Foreign Minister of our country, wrote in a tweet on Wednesday: "I am honored to represent the great nation of Iran in the field of foreign policy and international relations by receiving a vote of confidence from the Islamic Consultative Assembly." I am determined to pursue a balanced, dynamic and intelligent foreign policy based on the principles of dignity, wisdom and expediency. Neighbors and Asia are the first priority.
With 270 votes in favor, 10 against and 6 abstentions, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian won the trust of the members of parliament for the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs and was elected Minister for the next four years.
