Wednesday, 25 August 2021 (YJC)_ while referring to terrorism as a result of the inefficiency of the current international situation, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman said the country wants a world free from violence.
In a message on the occasion of International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism on Wednesday, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh named terrorism and extremism as result of the inefficiency of the current international situation and said what Iran wants is a world void of violence and terrorism.
“As a country that has always been the target of various forms of political and economic terrorism since its establishment, Iran now stands with all the survivors of terrorism with valuable experiences,” he said while mentioning that this experience gained at the cost of losing the best human beings of this civilized, oppressed and ancient land.
He went on to refer to the assassination of Martyr Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani by the USand said “Iran has lost more people than any other country in the fight against terrorism. Lt. Gen. Soleimani was the most pacifist General in the country and the region and the great counter-terrorism commander who was martyred by the US state terrorism.”
Elsewhere in his remarks he pointed to the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientists, including Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, and said that’s the reason why Iran can talk about ways to heal this pain (terrorism) more than any other country.
According to him “Terrorism and extremism are the natural results of the inefficiency of the international situation, especially the recent developments and some political conspiracies at various levels.”
“These two problems are not limited to a specific region of the world. Terrorism is derived from extremist, sinister and evil thoughts, and inefficient and illegitimate means,” he said.
International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism is to honor and support the victims and survivors of terrorism and to promote and protect the full enjoyment of their human rights and fundamental freedoms.
