Monday, 23 August 2021 (YJC)_ The ambassador of the Russian Federation in Tehran, Levan Dzhagaryan, expressed his hope that the visit of the President of Iran to Moscow would take place whenever the situation caused by the epidemic of the Corona virus allows.
In an interview with Sputnik, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Islamic Republic of Iran spoke about the visit of Hojatoleslam Sayyed Ebrahim Raeisi to Moscow.
The ambassador of the Russian Federation in Tehran, Levan Dzhagaryan, stated that Moscow hopes that Iranian President Hojatoleslam Sayyed Ebrahim Raeisi will be able to travel to Russia.
"As you know, before the outbreak of the (coronavirus) epidemic, our presidents (Russia and Iran) used to meet regularly in Russia, Iran and on the sidelines of various international meetings," he told Sputnik.
The Russian ambassador in Tehran continued: "We hope that if the outbreak of the (coronavirus) normalizes, the conditions will be created for it (Ayatollah Ra'isi's visit to Moscow)."
In the interview, Dzhagaryan stressed that Russia supports Iran's becoming a permanent member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
