Monday, 23 August 2021 (YJC)_ The Slovenian Prime Minister, who holds the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second half of this year, stressed that most European countries are not willing to accept Afghan refugees.
The Prime Minister of Slovenia, Janez Janša, wrote in a message on his Twitter page yesterday (Sunday) about the position of European countries on the reception of Afghan refugees, saying that there is no consensus among EU countries on the issue of Afghan refugees and even the majority Countries are not in favor of accepting Afghan asylum seekers.
According to the Russian news agency Tass, the Slovenian Prime Minister, who will chair the Council of the European Union in the second half of this year, stressed in the message: "EU countries must decide for themselves whether they want to have a new wave of migrants or not. The problem now is not just that there is no consensus on this, but that there is not even a limited and conditional majority or a minimal majority [in the Council of the European Union] to do so."
