Sunday, 22 August 2021 (YJC)_Iranian President said there should be mechanisms to expand and facilitate non-oil exports.
During his remarks on Saturday in a session of Economic Coordination Headquarters Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi said there should be mechanisms to expand and facilitate non-oil exports and bring back proceeds to the domestic economy.
He referred to the currency obligations arising from exports and called for the removal of the barriers against fulfilling these obligations.
Raeisi continued to put emphasis on the fact that barriers against export activities should be identified and removed and said these are necessary “to encourage the expansion of exports.”
“Legal action should be taken as the last resort in enforcing exporters to fulfill their currency obligations,” he said while adding that “the priority is to use a non-coercive mechanism.”
Finally, he explained “Designing a collateralized system to provide exporters with their foreign currency demands will fulfill obligations without taking legal action.”
