Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi will travel to four countries in the region on August 24 to discuss the current situation in Afghanistan.
Qureshi said: "I will travel to Iran, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan from August 24 to consult with the countries of the region on the current situation in Afghanistan."
He added that consultations with China on the situation in Afghanistan are over.
Qureshi added that a detailed telephone conversation had taken place with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi about Afghanistan.
Asked about the formation of a new government in Kabul, the Pakistani foreign minister said: "It is too early to talk about these issues because negotiations are underway between various groups and the Taliban in Kabul to form a new government."
