Saturday, 21 August 2021 (YJC)_An Iranian army official announced the country is going to be one of the countries of the 2021 army games.
During his remarks at a press conference on Saturday, the deputy commander of the Iranian Army for Training Affairs Brigadier General Alireza Sheikh announced the country is going to be one of the countries of the 2021 army games.
“Iran will host about 390 servicemen in three different categories: naval, air, land and defense; in 28 fields and 15 countries,” he said.
He went on to say that during the competitions the capabilities of the servicemen in defensive fields will be assessed and added “Tomorrow, the opening ceremony of these competitions will be held in Isfahan with "Lords of Weapons" contest.”
“Iran will host four countries for the diving contest in Konarak port, in the southeast of Iran near Chabahar,” he announced while adding the country will also host four countries in the Caspian Sea for "Sea Cup", which is a destroyer competition.
Sheikh also noted that during the games, the health operating standards which are set by Russia and the Iranian health ministry will be respected.
“Participants must be quarantined for 72 hours and all the staff in these competitions have been vaccinated,” he said.
He finally announced that “The games will last two weeks.”
