Friday, 20 August 2021 (YJC)_ The Taliban's minister of information and culture said the group wanted good interaction and good relations with all countries based on diplomatic principles.

Taliban Minister of Information and Culture Zabihullah Mujahid said at a ceremony marking the 102nd anniversary of Afghanistan's independence victory that the group called for better diplomatic and trade relations with all countries.

He added: "Based on diplomatic principles and full respect, we want interaction with all countries, we want good relations, we want good economy, we want good trade, we want good diplomacy."

Mujahid stressed that the Taliban had not spoken about non-trade with any country and denied the rumors that had been spread about it.

The Taliban Minister of Information and Culture also stressed that the group also wants the United States to have political and diplomatic relations with the Taliban.

Mujahid had previously said about relations with the countries of the world: "We are committed to our obligations, the world must enter into diplomatic interactions according to international law, express their concerns to us, and we will respond to their concerns."

He also stressed that all foreign countries with political representation in Afghanistan should be assured that they will not be harmed.
