Friday, 20 August 2021 (YJC)_ The King of Malaysia has named Ismail Sabri Yaakob as the country's new Prime Minister.
The King of Malaysia announced today (Friday) in a statement: Sultan Abdullah, King of Malaysia has appointed Ismail Sabri Yakkob as Prime Minister of the country.
Ismail Sabri Yakkob is Malaysia's Minister of Defense and Deputy Prime Minister.
Last Monday, former Malaysian Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and his cabinet submitted their resignations to the king. He had announced that lawmakers from the Malaysian National Organization Party would support Ismail Sabri Yaqub as the new prime minister.
