Afghan women journalists called on the Taliban to respect their rights and not to obstruct their activities.
Radio and Television of Afghanistan (RTA) host Shabnam Davaran said the Taliban did not allow him to enter his office to continue working.
"I wanted to go back to work, but unfortunately they did not allow me to work," she said. They told me that the regime has changed and you can not work.
Khadijeh, another journalist for the network, was also banned by the Taliban.
"I went to the office but I was not allowed in," she said. Other colleagues were later barred from entering. We spoke with our new director, who has been appointed by the Taliban.
Khadija said the Taliban had told them that a decision on their work would be made soon.
Khadijeh added: "The programs have changed, they are broadcasting their desired programs, there are no female presenters and female journalists."
In the past, a group of Afghan women gathered in various cities to demand that their role and presence in the future and destiny of Afghanistan not be ignored.
The Taliban have not yet commented. Meanwhile, in the past few days, a female journalist spoke to a Taliban member on Tolo News.
