Tehran, YJC. Iran’s Supreme Leader ayatollah Ali Khamenei spoke to a large number of people on Monday on the occasion of Eid al-Qadir.

Stressing an urge by Islam to deal not only with people’s religious affairs, but their political issues, he said "The event of Qadir is a clear reason in refuting such a secular outlook, since Eid al-Qadir is a symbol of Islam’s attendance to government and political affairs,” YJC reported.

Ayatollah Khamenei then pointed to the Muslim world’s internal affairs and said "Disagreement among Muslims will use up their energy and motivations on internal skirmish and will prevent them from noticing their real enemies. This is what the arrogant are seeking and have made plans for.”

He asserted that the formation of Takfiri groups in Iraq, Syria, and some other countries is the result of schemes to set discord among Muslims, adding "They created al-Qaeda and ISIL to create discord and to fight the Islamic Republic, but now these have afflicted themselves.”

"Whoever that abides to Islam and admits to the government of the Quran, whether he is Shiite or Sunni, must be aware that American-Zionist schemes are the real and main enemy to Islam and the Muslim.”

The Supreme Leader maintained "Whoever and whatever action that aggravates the feelings of the other side and creates disagreement between Shiites and Sunnis will have helped the US, the wicked Britain, and Zionism, which are the ones that created the Ignorant, retrograde, and dependent Takfiri current.”
