Thursday, 19 August 2021 (YJC)_ During the meeting of the Special Assistant to the Speaker of the Iran's Parliament with the Chinese Special Representative for Afghanistan, the two sides emphasized the continuation of joint cooperation in the region, including Afghanistan.

Amir Abdollahian meets with China Special Representative for AfghanistanYu Xiao Yong, China's Special Representative for Afghanistan, met with Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Special Assistant to the Speaker and Director-General of the International Assembly, to discuss bilateral relations and recent developments in Afghanistan.

In this meeting, Amir Abdollahian criticized the policies of the White House in the region, including Afghanistan, and drew attention to the role of the people in the fate of this country and the formation of an inclusive government consisting of all ethnic groups in Afghanistan.

The people of Afghanistan have proven throughout history that they will never tolerate foreign occupation and domination.

Emphasizing the strategic nature of the relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and China, the veteran diplomat added: "We believe that Tehran and Beijing, under the strategic document, can have joint cooperation at different levels in Afghanistan."
