According to Al-Arabiya, the French Foreign Minister announced Wednesday after arriving in Abu Dhabi that 25 French nationals were evacuated from Afghanistan on Tuesday night (last night) after a "complex" operation in Kabul.
Without elaborating on the operation, Jean-Yves Laudrian added that 184 Afghans and 25 French had left the country.
A Western security source told Reuters that efforts were continuing to oust nationals from Afghanistan after the Taliban took control of the capital.
The security source, who did not want to be named, said more than 2,200 diplomats and civilians had been evacuated by military planes from Afghanistan in recent days.
