Wednesday, 18 August 2021 (YJC)_ The IRGC Deputy Coordinator described the developments in Afghanistan and the scandalous escape of American troops and the fall of the Kabul government as a lesson for the whole world, especially for US-affiliated countries and governments.
Referring to recent developments in the country, IRGC Deputy Coordinator Mohammad Reza Naqdi said: "These events and the defeat and escape of the United States do not require a complex analysis, because in the past we have seen the defeat of the British and Soviet empires in Afghanistan which were the beginning of the collapse of these two powers".
"These two events have happened again in Afghanistan and we are witnessing the repetition of history," he said. And the military clashed, and eventually this clash led to the defeat of the rich and arrogant country.
He described the escape and defeat of the United States from Afghanistan as a great lesson for the oppressed nations and said: "Despite the American storytelling, this event proved once again that if the oppressed nations are not afraid to face the arrogant, they can defeat the enemy empty-handed and expel them".
