Wednesday, 18 August 2021 (YJC)_ A new poll in the United States shows that the crisis in Afghanistan has lowered the popularity of the US President after the hasty flight of US troops from the country.

According to Reuters, a new poll conducted in the United States shows that Biden's popularity index has dropped by seven percent, reaching its lowest level since he took office.

The survey, conducted jointly by Reuters and the Ipsus think tank, found that 54 percent of Americans are dissatisfied with Biden's decisions that led to unrest in Afghanistan and the Taliban's takeover of the country.

Accordingly, only 46 percent of Americans are currently satisfied with Biden's performance as president, the lowest level in seven months.

Another poll by the Ipsus Institute found that less than half of Americans approve of Biden directing US diplomatic and military action in Afghanistan.

Yesterday, the Trafalgar poll found that 69 percent of Americans are dissatisfied with Biden's decision to leave Afghanistan, and only 23 percent approve of his actions.
