Tuesday, 17 August 2021 (YJC)_ In a message commemorating the anniversary of the beginning of the return of the POWs to Islamic Iran, the President called the POWs among the living martyrs and a symbol of love for the homeland.
In a message commemorating the anniversary of the return of the POWs to Islamic Republic of Iran, the President called the POWs among the living martyrs whose proud return moments, along with tears and kisses on the soil of this land, will never be erased.

In the name of God
The 26th of August is the anniversary of the return of the glorious freedmen to the embrace of the Islamic homeland. The symmetry of the anniversary of this proud return with Ashura of Hosseini is reminiscent of the establishment of the dear freedmen to the captives of Karbala and their resistance and perseverance in the face of oppression. Undoubtedly, the return of the honorable freedmen and their liberation from the camps of the Ba'athist regime in Iraq was one of the most important and pleasant events of the year 1969 for the fighting nation and always in our scene. Everyone knew very well that this arrogant event was the result of the resistance and self-defense of the warriors and the people, the right to believe in this border and land, and of course, this is a divine promise.
The freedmen are undoubtedly among the living martyrs and a symbol of love for the homeland, and the moments of their proud return, which were accompanied by tears and kisses on the holy land of this land, will never be erased for the sake of our grateful people and our right to believe. They are always models of patience and resistance of the honorable people of Iran.
I cherish this great day and I ask God Almighty for your honor, dignity and health. God willing, we will be able to take appropriate measures in the service of these loved ones.
