"Iran stands by the Lebanese people and is ready to help in all areas," Mohammad Jalal Firuznia, Iran's ambassador to Lebanon, told Al-Manar.
He added: "Soon, specific results will be achieved regarding the import of fuel from Iran to Lebanon."
Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah recently spoke about the fuel crisis in Lebanon and Washington's role in the issue, and in response to whether Iran has fuel to sell, said: "there is enough fuel [for sale] in Iran that ships are full. They are waiting for a buyer ... Americans are responsible for the events in the country. They manage the chaos from their embassy."
Nasrallah reiterated that gasoline and diesel would definitely be imported from Iran, noting that these imports would not take place in the dark at night but in broad daylight.
Lebanon is facing a shortage of fuel these days, and Hezbollah has been proposing to buy fuel from Iran in Lebanon for months.
